What a rollercoaster this edition has been, #techsylvanians! Not only emotional but also full of innovation, inspiration, knowledge, and powerful insights from the brightest minds all around the world. We\u2019ve been left speechless so many times on the second day, and we are still overwhelmed after Stephen Wolfram\u2019s presentation and Q&A Session.<\/p>\n

Over 5000 attendees from 72 countries discovered, learned, and understood the importance of exploring the context we are in, to bring value and influence the future of humanity. This edition gathered around 69 brilliant speakers that covered the hottest subjects in business and technology, but with trust, empathy, and with a lot of hope for a better tomorrow. The energy from our speakers and participants went #beyondborders. We felt you all through our screens.<\/p>\n

From Romania to a Global Unicorn \u2014 an insightful piece of knowledge from Sacha Dragic, Founder and Executive Chairman, about how Superbet received \u20ac175M in funding from Blackstone \u2014 the biggest private equity fund in the world \u2014 and got scaled into a Global Unicorn.<\/p>\n

One of the subjects that caught a lot of attention this year was remote working. From how to build a strong remote culture, or how to manage a team\/company when your employees aren\u2019t all in the same place, to Building a Global SaaS Winner by Hiring Tech Remotely, with Arthur Waller, Co-Founder & CEO at Pennylane. Another strong question of Techsylvania 2021 was \u201cOnline or offline?\u201d Instead of choosing, Christian von Hardenberg, CTO of Delivery Hero, explained the importance of merging and finding the balance between the two opposites.<\/p>\n

The European tech scene is growing faster than almost elsewhere in the world. The tech ecosystem has expanded to almost $1 trillion (\u20ac824.4 billion) in combined value, up five-fold from 2016. We dug into this with Eric Newcomer (Newcomer) \u2014 Moderator, Mattias Ljungman (Moonfire), Filip Dames (Cherry Ventures), and Hussein Kanji (Hoxton Ventures) on Impact Stage.<\/p>\n

NFTs were one of the hottest subjects of Techsylvania 2021. What they are, how many types of NTF\u2019s are out there, how to create one and what are they utile and appreciated for? A savvy conversation began on the Main Stage with Quharrison Terry (Mark Cuban Companies) and continued on the Impact Stage in the afternoon. Delving more on the same subject, we had Jessica \u201cRagzy\u201d Ewud (Visual Artist), Dr. Corey Petty (The Bitcoin Podcast), and Demetrik Ferguson (Just the Headers), along with Quharrison Terry, showing the audience how to construct an NFT, what sorts of NFTs are available on the actual market, and argued the future of NFTs in a year.<\/p>\n

Ryan Donovan, CTO of Hootsuite, gave one of the most intriguing presentations of the day, outlining the fact that \u201dwe\u2019re using tech far beyond our wildest dreams to create a blended and seamless experience of connecting people and organizations with the right audiences to enable efficient and effortless conversations that matter\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bringing an amazing energy on the Main Stage, Sumbry, director of Engineering at Airbnb, made this super interesting parallel between designing an engineering and a football team \u2014 \u201cwe should always be deliberate when we build a team.<\/p>\n

Can\u2019t be a growth artist without a great signature, right? Or at least that\u2019s what we got, along with a good laugh, when Lloyd Lobo made his entrance on the stage, wearing some cool glasses, in order to match with Techsylvanias\u2019 super cool intro.<\/p>\n

At this point, we started to become emotional, as the end of the conference was getting closer, but we couldn\u2019t conclude the day without having David Karow, President and Chief Innovation Officer at Human Longevity. He is a proponent of using data-driven precision medicine testing and AI to achieve extensions in the healthy human lifespan.<\/p>\n

Day Two was a BLAST! Can\u2019t wait to see you next year again, hopefully in person this time, shaking hands, sharing hugs, and embracing all the opportunities in our ways.<\/p>\n
