Data Axle \u2014 Accelerate 2021 was about coming together<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0collaborate, learn, share successes and highlight the best solutions\u00a0<\/strong>during 2 exciting days of content and interactivity.<\/p>\n

It was also about having fun, as this year they\u2019ve experienced a new and very interesting team activity called GoRemote.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how the entire event unfolded and how was the client\u2019s experience<\/h2>\n

Data Axle<\/strong>\u00a0builds and manages marketing, prospect, and analytic database solutions for some of the world\u2019s leading brands. Their in-house database experts combine decades of expertise and hands-on experience with the best technology on the market to fit the current and future needs of each client.<\/p>\n

At the end of 2020, they were looking for an event management company with real experience in using virtual events platforms \u2014 managing speakers and attendees based in multiple locations \u2014 in order to organise their kick off meeting for 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to an already known relationship between\u00a0<\/em>Rohan Chandran, our Chief Product Officer<\/em><\/a>, with Techsylvania, (he was one of the top speakers in 2020, as well as in 4 other previous editions) working with Techsylvania\u2019s Project Management team came as a natural decision<\/em>\u201d, stated Andrew Bloom, Chief Commercial Officer at Data Axle.<\/p>\n

Project challenges and risk management<\/h2>\n

It is common knowledge that\u00a0people are afraid of everything new and unknown\u00a0<\/strong>to their experience. Therefore, there was no big surprise that they were very concerned about the technology used in a virtual event organization process. Would it work? Would the speakers understand it? Will they manage any sensitive situation?<\/p>\n

\u201cTechsylvania team created\u00a0<\/em>a number of practice opportunities<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/em>set out a great timetable\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>for practice, which allowed everyone to rehearse. The more they did it the more comfortable they became.<\/em>\u201d, said Andrew Bloom.<\/p>\n

Regular communication<\/strong>\u00a0was the key to success for the event: weekly team calls and a published\u00a0project timeline<\/strong>\u00a0that was excellent for all parties. This kept everyone on track. At the end of the day, even though the\u00a0two teams were on different time zones, it all worked out great.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What was outstanding about this project<\/h2>\n

Teachsylvania team\u2019s\u00a0understanding of the Hopin platform was superb.<\/strong>\u00a0Even though there were so many first time users of a virtual events platform, we found a lot of\u00a0great ways to support everybody<\/strong>\u00a0to integrate the basics \u2014 calmness and being prepared for all eventualities were the first of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cTeam\u2019s demeanor and professionalism<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(particularly on the actual event days) were fantastic and the clients felt as safe as being invited to their own event<\/em>.\u201d also stated Andrew.<\/p>\n

The project plan was really good too<\/strong>\u00a0and they really liked all of\u00a0the documentation that was created for them.<\/strong><\/p>\n
