Tony Fadell<\/strong>\u00a0is an American engineer, designer, entrepreneur, founder, coach, and active investor, with a 30+ years background in the tech ecosystem and more than 300 patents for his work. He\u2019s one of the most-known innovators in the world as he has created the iPod, co-created the iPhone and worked with his team on the first versions of it, and founded Nest, one of the most influential tech companies. With such an in-depth understanding of products and technology and a sharp sense for \u201cwhat\u2019s next\u201d, Tony continues his mission of improving people\u2019s lives through technology experiences, by investing in promising startups in the scene, at Future Shape.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s currently Principal at\u00a0Future Shape<\/a>, a global investment and advisory firm coaching engineers and scientists working on foundational deep technology. He moved to Paris a few years ago, so he runs the company from Europe and he\u2019s working with some of the top-notch scientists and engineers from this part of the world. The company\u2019s focus is deep tech startups, that can provide the right innovations for a better and greener future.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeeptech companies especially have great scientists but need a push on things like marketing, finance and business more broadly.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>he declared for\u00a0Sifted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tony Fadell<\/strong>\u2019s career is based on strong experiences that shaped some of the most renowned companies. Early in his professional history, he founded the Mobile Computing Group at Philips Electronics, where he also worked as CTO and Director of Engineering and was responsible for all the business and product development aspects, including the award-winning Philips Velo and Nino PDAs. In 2001, he joined Apple, as SVP of the iPod Division and led the team that created the first 18 versions of the iPod and the first 3 versions of the iPhone. After his long-run at Apple, he founded\u00a0Nest<\/a>, the famous company \u2014 maker of digital thermostats and smoke detectors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
